A Walking Tour of the Campus** (1979)

Stars Rice Professor James Morehead who was the resident expert on campus architecture, lectured extensively on the subject and led many campus tours. Popping up along the way are Rice profs Allen Matusow, Sandy Havens, Alan Grob, Bill Martin, and David Parsons. This film also contains rare footage of President Hackerman playing squash in the gym. Rice alum Charlie Helpinstil (aka Ezra Charles) plays piano in the background of the pub scene.

Charter Centennial Presentation** (1991)

A look at the history of Rice from the drawing up of the charter in 1891. Written by history professor John Boles, this was originally a 12-projector slide show before it was re-formatted and transferred to video. As late as 2004, this was still being used (with minor updates) for new employee orientation.
